T-09 Brands

In this electronic era we go behind the branded products but we don’t know the history behind it or the value of the brand name so this post is to share some interesting news which I came across recently so here I present a few.

1. Coca-Cola

We all know it’s a famous beverage and globally recognized brands. Its brand value is worth $66,667 million. Its parent company is Coca-Cola. It has its base in Atlanta, Georgia by Dr John S Pemberton. Added to this its bottle design is a most popular icons of the world. It also stands for the youthful exuberance of United States of America.

Initially it was offered as a fountain beverage by mixing Coca-Cola syrup with carbonated water.

The script of the beverage was designed by an amateur, Frank Robinson. Coca-Cola was registered as a trademark in 1887 and by 1895 Coca-Cola was being sold in every state and territory in the US. In 1899, the company began franchised bottling operations in the US.

2. IBM

The well known software giant they have their footsteps in each and every peripherals of the computer. The company's brand value is worth $59,031 million. Its mother concern is International Business Machines. The company logo was designed by Paul Rand it had horizontal stripes which replaced the letters 'speed and dynamism.' In the year 1972

3. Microsoft

The god father of software field. Its value goes up to $59,007 million. It has 79,000 employees in 102 countries. It manufactures licenses and supports a wide range of software products for computing devices. Its head quarters is situated in Redmond, Washington, USA

4. General Electric (energy services)

GE is the most familiar brand in the world, it worth $53,086 million. The brands outfit was changed by its CEO Jeffrey Immelt in the year 2004. He changed the color palette, made a minute modification in the logo of the company a new customized font (GE Inspira), and a new slogan, 'imagination at work' replacing the longtime slogan 'we bring good things to life', composed by David Lucas.

5. Nokia

The mobile emperor its brand value is $35,942 million. Though there is a threat of iphones dominating the market the nokia phones sell 8 times more than that. They have been in the market since 1960s and they are now leading the global market. when it came to designing their logo, Nokia Co. made every effort to make its logo represent the company's mission. And thus, 'Nokia Connecting People' logo came into being.

6. Toyota

The sultan of automobile industry their brand value goes to $34,050 million. It launched its first passenger car in the year 1936, from Toyoda Automatic Loom Works Ltd. They changed its name from “Toyada” to “Toyota” as the number of strokes to write Toyota in Japanese (eight) was thought to bring luck and prosperity. The Model AA, Toyota's first passenger car, became the first automobile to use the new name.

7. Intel

The brand value of the company is $31,261 million. Originally the logo of the company was “Dropped -e” was created by Silicon Valley pioneers Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore, 39 years ago. In 1991 they introduced “Intel Inside” slogan with the logo.


8. Disney

Its brand worth’s $29,251 million. It was founded by Walter Elias Disney now it is the place of entertainment which consists of studios, theme parks, products and other media productions with annual revenue of approximately $30 billion. The company uses different logos on its different products. A castle on a blue background version of the Walt Disney logo is used for the movie releases and as the curtain-raiser to its films.

9. Google

The leading search engine’s brand value is $25,590 million. I think I don’t want to tell anything about this concern as we all use it every day.
